If you are in a tall building, the most important thing is to "seek shelter," not to run.
The shaking can cause you to lose your balance and fall or fall down the stairs.
- Find shelter under a sturdy table or near a sturdy wall.
- Avoid large objects such as file cabinets, mirrors, or windows to prevent hazards falling.
- If there is no table or shelter available, crouch against a wall and use your arms to protect your head.
- After the shaking stops or begins to subside,
- Investigate escape routes and evacuate the building quickly.
- Check for nearby people who need help. If you see an injured person, notify them to help evacuate.
- Never use the elevator.
- Stay away from tall buildings, large trees, or utility poles.
- Stop driving immediately and stay in your vehicle until the shaking stops.

Investing in peace of mind is always a worthwhile investment. The same goes for CCTV. Many people may view CCTV as unnecessary. However, in an emergency, CCTV is essential. It provides peace of mind, identifies and records important information such as faces or vehicle registrations, and can also be useful in legal matters, such as evidence in a lawsuit.
